Neiman Marcus Beauty Bloggers Breakfast

June 2, 2012 the FL Beauty Bloggers were invited to an exclusive breakfast held by Neiman Marcus of Millenia Mall thanks to Steph of Imperfectly Painted.  They had mimosas,coffee, croissants and fruit and we had no idea what to expect.  We had the beauty section all to ourselves before the store opened! We were divided into 4 groups where we went to different stations that had product specialists that educated us on their brand.  This was a great experience because I pretty much never step foot in a Neimans nor have I tried majority of the brands that we learned about. I was very impressed at how knowledgable the product specialists were.  They only had a short period of time to educate us but yet I know I learned so much!  They even provided us with cute notebooks and pens for us to jot down some notes (I was too busy playing with the testers to take notes lol) AND we were gifted with samples to try!

I will definitely be going back to get matched for foundations and I can't wait.  Overall I enjoyed myself and I learned quite a bit!  Thank you to Neiman Marcus of Mall of Millenia and to Steph of Imperfectly Painted for presenting us such an awesome opportunity!

FL Beauty Bloggers May Meetup

Ok so this post is way over due so please forgive me.  I was waiting on getting some pics from the May meetup before I posted since I didn't take many myself.  Anyway once again we had another successful and fabulous meetup on May 19, 2012!  It's amazing to see how fast we are growing with it capped at 25.  We even had an agenda to keep ourselves on track!  This time we met at Crave Restaurant and we had tons of sponsorships!  I'm still trying to review products from the last meetup so I have LOTS of work to do! lol Check out some of the pics I borrowed from Phyrra, i wanted to take them all she lensed some awesome ones so check out a few!

Artisan Beauty Pucker Suite Event

This past Sunday the lovely owners of Artisan Beauty (Allison Lacour and MiMi Fox) held a private viewing for the Central Florida Beauty Bloggers.  If you aren't familiar with the company let me break it down for you.  You ever get attached to a certain lipgloss or lipstick only to find out that the company has discontinued it?  Well guess what? Artisan Beauty can recreate that color for you! How awesome is that?  Or if you're like me and you own a bajillion lipglosses and lipsticks but maybe there is that extra something about each one you wish you can add to it.With Artisan Beauty you can choose your color, add a flavor, or even add a scent to your lipstick!  Want your lipstick/lipgloss to sparkle? No problem they can do that too!  Do you want a sheer lipstick or matte?  Do you want to add a plumper? There are just so many different options to pick one that is created specially just for you.I had so much fun watching my fellow bloggers create their own lippie.  You can definitely see everyone's personality through their creations!  Another fun part about making your own lippie is naming it! Naming it was much harder than I thought...I changed the name of mine several times lol.I decided to create a lipstick that is a purplely lavendar color which I named "Fantabulous".  I decided on purple because I feel like that color is rarely seen or used.  Let me tell you, I get compliments on this lipstick everywhere I go!The color is buildable and it lasts a decent amount of time.  Another added bonus is that my lips felt moisturized! You know how lipsticks that have staying power tend to be drying? Part 2 Beauty Bloggers Orlando Meetup

Beauty Bloggers Orlando Meet Up

But I'm definitely glad I went because now I have so many new friends and blogs to read! It was extremely refreshing to be around other women who share the same passion about the beauty industry as I do! Being surrounded by all those beauty products I thought for sure I had died and gone to beauty heaven! Did I mention how much FUN we had? MY Beauty Picks from the Smirnoff Master of the Mix Orlando

Last  week (Dec 17) I attended the Master of the Mix Viewing Party in Orlando sponsored by Smirnoff Vodka. I must say the event was AMAZING! Great people (so fashionable), great drinks (my fave was called "The Mixer") and not to mention great MUSIC!  The DJs that kept the crowd hyped were DJ Yonny (Master of The Mix Season Two Contestant, DJ at 92.3 NOW, New York City), Orlando's own Michael "M-Squared" McPherson  (Master of The Mix Season Two Contestant, Red bull Thre3style Global Finalist) and last but not least the infamous Kid Capri! Did I mention I had a blast? I was chosen as one of the bloggers to cover the event. I was scoping out the scene to pick 2 people who were my winners for makeup and hair. Check out my winners below:

Her hair was so fabulous! Me being a natural girl myself her hair immediately caught my eye!  And not to mention.....look how adorable she is!

Downtown Orlando Fashion Week

I got invited to the first annual Downtown Orlando Fashion Week this year and I was very excited to attend.  The week was 3 days long however I was only able to make the Friday show.  It was held at Club Touch downtown which was a very intimate and chic venue. Some of the designers that showcased were Jcagua, Tinkas Closet, Habari, Trish Green, and Vaux Couture.  I thought the show was great for it being their first time because I have been to tons of shows and I have definitely seen my share of bad ones.  I got to chat with Michael Ransom about his inspiration for putting on Downtown Orlando Fashion Week and he told me he wanted to bring more fashion to Orlando.  He also stated he wanted to give local designers an outlet to showcase their designs and give back to the community by having proceeds benefit charity.  This year's beneficiary was the Harbor House who assist pregnant teenagers by providing housing and counseling.  Also he made sure to credit his partner Sary Vazquez who he said without her the show could not have been possible.  Word on the street is that they are already planning for next years show. MAC Me Over

 MAC has a new campaign called MAC ME Over.  They held a contest and 6 lucky winners got flown out to NY for an over the top makeover.  Also they held the event in stores this weekend.  I was lucky to attend and get a free makeover from my friend Michelle who works there!  I loved it!  Check out the pics!

Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim 2012

Ok so this post is waaaaaaayyyy over due!  When I came back from Miami I had so much catching up to do so forgive me! This year I got the privilege of working with the a production company.  Although I have done fashion shows in the past none of them were on this level!  Needless to say I was happy my face was in the place!  I learned a lot about what goes on backstage during the show.  The production company was extremely organized so every show we were apart of went so smooth!  I was really impressed and grateful to learn from the best.  It was also nice being around a bunch of people with the same passion and dreams as I had.  You should always surround yourself with those type of positive people.  I really wish I could have taken more pictures though :( Hopefully next time.

Oh can I just say the swimwear was amazing! Me being the over-the-top person I am, there were 2 designers who’s collection stood out the most to me: Lisa Blue & Nicolita.  I loved all the attention to details from head to toe!

Tinka's Closet Grand Opening

TINKA’S CLOSET GRAND OPENINGI got the privilege of doing the makeup for Tinkas Closet’s grand opening! I must say they are my favorite womens boutique right now.  They have so many unique pieces it’s definitely for the fashionista who wants to stand out from the crowd.  Also the good thing is that they only carry a couple of each piece so if you see something you like you better grab it because you won’t see it again!The event started with hors d’oeurves and wine while Ryan Mckenzie sang his sweet melodies. After the fashion show it was time to shop til you drop! I don’t have too many pics from the mini fashion show because I was working it but I posted it what I have.  If you are in the Orlando or Tampa area you should definitely check them out.  They are located at 4932 W.
