The Makeup Show Orlando 2013
Ok so this post is super late but better late than never right? On Sept 28 and 29 The Makeup Show Orlando took place for the second year. Check out my experience from last year here. I was extra excited for this year because I just knew it was going to be bigger and better. Last year hurricane Sandy prevented a lot of vendors from being able to come. This year I was only able to attend on the last day due to work, which I quickly found out was not enough time for me to fully enjoy the show. There were way more vendors and way more patrons. I didn't get a chance to check out any seminars and I didn't take many pictures. I was super focused on buying specific things for my kit. The #1 thing on my list to buy was a Zuca backpack and they weren't even there! That was my only huge disappointment with the show. The #2 thing on my list was the AJ Crimson CCC palette which I was able to get thanks to my girl Lerenda who made sure I got it. I really wanted to focus on things I really needed for my kit. Overall it was awesome to see the growth from just 1 year and I know next year it will be even bigger.
Here are a couple pics from the opening event:

The Makeup Show Orlando Recap
I can't even describe the excitement that The Makeup Show had finally arrived! I know this post is a little late but man the motivation and inspiration I received has me going full speed! So unfortunately I did not get to experience much of the first day because I was scheduled to work, but I couldn't miss the first day! I was only able to stay about 2 hours before I had to leave. I have to admit I was bummed that some major companies (OCC, Mehron, Kevyn Aucoin) were unable to make it due to Hurricane Sandy (I hate her) but it was probably a good thing for my pockets, lol! On the second day attended with my friends/makeup artists. We were like kids in a candy store! I was having major technical difficulties and my phone dies and I had no charger and my stupid digital camera died too (I need a new one, any suggestions)! Luckily fellow blogger Phyrra was a lifesaver (THANK YOU GIRL!) and snapped a couple pics for me but needless to say.....check out her blog for even more pics!
Welp, that's all folks! It was difficult to not go spending crazy! I'm glad I was able to get the 3 things I have been wanting, which is the flash palette by Makeup Forever, brush canister holder by Makeup Forever, and the Cufflette by Koren of EnKore makeup! I'm already looking forward to next year as I am sure it will be even better!
Tips for The Makeup Show
I've never been to The Makeup Show before but I have been to other trade shows. Since this show is coming to Orlando for the first time I figured I would give some helpful tips on how to be prepared!#1 HAVE A BUDGET! - Hello if you love makeup you could run the risk of spending ALLLL of your money on all the cool makeup toys that will be there. Think about what you need and will get the most use of. You don't want to dish out money for things that are just going to collect dust (I'm speaking from personal experience..lol). If you have a budget it can help you from spending your rent money! Check the website and see if your favorite vendors are showcasing and map out the order of which booths you want to hit up first.#2 HAVE A GAME PLAN!- There are a lot of classes and work shops to take to take your artistry to the next level. Make sure you check out the site before hand that way you can ensure that you take all the classes you are interested in. No one wants to miss an opportunity of being educated from celebrity artists currently working in the industry!#3 BRING A FRIEND!- This is an awesome opportunity and event, share the love with a friend!
